The FC/ASW team at MBDA are looking for a Head of Functional Integration to be involved in the definition and planning of all the Compat, HWIL and Software Integration activities required to integrate and test missile and munition equipment for the Demonstration & Manufacturing phase.
Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Due to classification of the work and access to equipment, this role will be site based!
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the FC/ASW Chief Systems Proving Engineer, the Head of Functional Integration role will involve the definition and planning of all the Compat, HWIL and Software Integration activities required to integrate and test missile and munition equipment for the Demonstration & Manufacturing phase.
This role will need to work closely with the wider FC/ASW team to ensure that the lab facilities, test equipment, test facilities, test instructions, safety aspects, functional interfaces etc. are all identified, so that they will be available as and when required.
What we're looking for:
* Experience of missile / munition integration and test.
* An understanding how to develop a coherent and cost effective approach to integration that addresses areas across and down the product breakdown structure.
* An understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering and its application to functional demonstration is desirable.
* Work package management skills (work package planning, risk management) and an ability to operate within budget, timescale and resource constraints.
