About your team
Retail SIPP Benefits is currently one of the fastest growing areas of the business. The UK Benefits team is responsible for processing complex elements of SIPP administration including benefit calculations and payment, divorce cases, QROPS transfers, payroll management and online exception processes as well as overseeing investment transactions and the day to day management of the SIPP. The role is key to providing uncompromising service to our IFAs and clients.
About your role
* To ensure team completes all daily operational tasks in accordance with defined procedures & deadlines
* Oversee and help maintain team level MI on a daily basis
* Detailed understanding of the SIPP Benefits Processes across both UK and India roles
* To manage escalations and issues (technical and non-technical) are well handled and escalated as appropriate.
* Coordinate and carry out training to other members as well as knowledge sharing sessions within the existing capability or other business functions
* Help manage technology issues and communicate all business updates
* Review teams quality MI and identify operational initiatives or changes to remove manual errors
* Generate ideas and/or participate in projects that actively contribute to the teams overall success
* Maintain and update team procedures, process flows and quick guides in knowledgebase where any process changes or improvements are made
* Take responsibility and ownership of a key processing task overseeing the verification, quality, incident management and other administration tasks
* Manage process risks and maintain any reporting or data quality rules in association with owned processes
* Ensure individual development through effective delegation, empowerment and feedback
* Review lean ideas or change requests raised and prioritise these where we would see the most benefit
* To assist the team in the resolution of operational queries and act as the first point of contact for senior stakeholders
* Case management of technical or complex client instructions to ensure the best possible client outcome
* Manage and deliver technology-based process changes or lean initiatives
* To build strong relationships and vital key points of contact across UK and India teams
* Provide team updates on processing issues, themes, projects or change agendas
* Significant contribution to your team’s processing target on a daily basis whilst maintaining a high quality of work
* Capture and deliver constructive feedback to more junior team members to help them progress in their role
* Look to actively problem solve involving all key stakeholders and implement/embed change
* Appropriate escalation of issues to management e.g. those that have regulatory/reputational/financial risk
* Excellent communication skills - Written and Verbal
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Help support and oversee any resourcing issues or close any training gaps within the team as a priority
* This role would require the individual to perform BAU processing activity whenever required
About you
* Proven SIPP/DC/DB administration experience
* Knowledge of HMRC rules which govern pension transfers and benefit payments desirable
* Have ongoing awareness of regulatory change
* FA2 Qualification desirable
* The ability to complete multiple tasks against tight deadlines
* Confidence to question internal processes and encourage improvement
* To have initiative and proactively look to resolve or proactively overcome challenges independently
* Numerate and computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
* Comfortable working with people and teams across the business (UK & India)
