The Inspector Apprenticeship Programme:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete:
1. Year 1: Spend time at a private local engineering training provider where the relevant qualification units will be delivered and assessed.
2. Year 2-3: Delivered and assessed within Safran where you will achieve a Level 3 Diploma. All apprentices will spend allocated time working in different departments according to training needs.
What will I be doing?
As a Machine Shop Inspector for Safran Landing Systems, you will undertake inspection activities for parts, which will include:
1. First Off, CMM Inspection, and Final View Inspection of internal parts.
2. Inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers.
3. Responsibilities encompass all manufacturing methods associated with the production of high value landing gear components.
4. Utilise knowledge and skills to assist in continuous improvement programmes to reduce shop processing times, manufacturing hours, and improve product quality.

1. A keen interest in science and engineering with a methodical and thorough approach to work.
2. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
3. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
4. Motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
6. Minimum of 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 5-9, Science, and a technology.
Time shared between the Safran Landing Systems Services site and the Training Providers site, both located in Gloucester.
