The Role – Estimator
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to take the lead in pricing and tendering new build and refurbishment projects up to £10 million. This is a key role in securing work and ensuring projects are cost-effective and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission
* Preparing accurate cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and site visits
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Developing cost plans and pricing strategies for design and build contracts
* Risk assessment and value engineering to maximise profitability
* Working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and project delivery teams
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an Estimator in a main contractor environment
* Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
* Ability to price new build and refurbishment projects up to £10 million
* Familiarity with estimating software such as ConQuest, Causeway, and Excel
* Strong negotiation and commercial skills
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset
* Strong communicator, confident dealing with clients and subcontractors
