NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, part-time post of 19.7 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday (Mon-Thurs 4pm-8pm/Frid 4pm-7.44pm).
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
Your duties will include: Provide an efficient, high quality domestic service to patients and staff, follow specific schedule of work relating to defined areas. Duties include catering duties cleaning all areas of our hospital clinical and non-clinical locations - activities will include wet mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, replenishing supplies, cleaning fixtures, and furniture and toilet/bathroom areas. There is the requirement for you have a flexible approach to daily routine. There will be the use of economic and safe use of cleaning agents, following manufacturers recommended instructions. In some roles you may be required to use mechanical cleaning equipment. You are required to wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department and complete all daily/weekly sign off sheets for areas of work.
