ABOUT THE ROLE
A newly created opportunity has arisen to join this established, but growing global business based in Lincolnshire. As the Demand Planner you will create and analyse data throughout the full life cycle of products, to ensure the right product is in the right place at the time in line with the company strategy to support sustained revenue growth. This role will report into the Head of Product.
Key responsibilities:
* Analyse sales data and trends across the businesses full product portfolio
* Forecast stock requirements for all DCs across the business
* Identify risks of over/under stocks, using analysis to plan for sales missed due to out of stocks
* Set up and run trading meetings with Sales and Amazon Leads to plan forecasts and review previous forecast accuracy
* Present sales analysis data at product range reviews to assist with development strategy and future forecast of new lines, managing life cycle of existing lines to drop/exit
* Propose sales promotions/reductions for either seasonal reductions or for the purpose of clearing over-stocks, or marketing events to drive revenue
* Support the product team and the Far East Merchandising team with Critical Path Management for purchase orders
* Work with BI team to ensure reports are fit for purpose and create new reports where necessary to help with automation and reduce administration
* Create ad hoc stock reports as requested by the management team to support the needs of the business
* Carry out any other duties or tasks to support the smooth running of the department and wider business
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
As the Demand Planner in this role, there will be access to shared admin support but this is a small team and you need to be prepared and experienced enough to take on the full ownership of this role - from admin through to strategy
Experience required:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a forecasting, product management, merchandising or similar role
* Ideally previous experience of managing product through the full life cycle and seasonal trading calendar
* Excellent analytic skills of available data, to drill down and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
* Ideally previous experience of working with Power BI
* Excellent Excel skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with both internal and external departments and customers.
* A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
* Able to work as part of a team but also autonomously setting own priorities and managing own workload.
ABOUT THE CLIENT

SALARY
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE
