The role:
Responsible for the BA OTC (receivables) process as well as protection of passenger revenue via chargeback preventions.
What you’ll do:
1. Maintains oversight and accountability of the overall receivables/OTC processes to ensure compliance and all legal and corporate requirements including related suspense accounts.
2. Responsible for the defence of any chargebacks from credit card companies.
3. Enforces global consistency (across all BA selling points – direct and indirect) on ticketing and reporting procedures and reports on the application and enforcement of commercial policies.
4. Ownership of BA’s corporate policies & procedures with relation to invoicing and receivables to maximise BA’s cash collection on a timely manner.
5. Escalation point from GBS & Receivables Specialists/Executives for all matters related to receivables and OTC.
6. Monitor IATA/ARC billing/settlement service provision and drive process improvements.
7. Ensures co-ordination with PTP is maintained across the OTC team to ensure cross-discipline review of suppliers/customers to optimise payment and debt recovery processes.
8. Monitors and drives service provider(s) compliance with the SLA across receivables and revenue protection, ensuring the SLA reflects key business performance indicators.
9. Ensures all processes throughout the remit are compliant with ICFR, GDPR and PCI standards regulations, and BCP is in place for service/system disruptions.
10. Drives the Transformation of OtC processes to maximise efficiency.
11. Ensures all statutory reports associated relevant process are delivered on time.
12. Represents BA in industry discussions on relevant initiatives with relation to revenue protection or receivables.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
1. Good interpersonal and people management skills – able to negotiate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside BA.
2. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
3. Able to manage external suppliers to deliver to timescales, cost and specification.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Detailed knowledge of the financial accounting principles, policies and application.
6. Detailed knowledge of BA relevant corporate policies, business and finance procedures.
7. Detailed knowledge of industry billing and settlement processes (BSP, CASS, ARC, ICH, SIS).
8. Good user knowledge of BA’s financial and revenue accounting systems (SAP, Novus, Rapid etc).
9. Good understanding of BA’s commercial processes.
10. Understanding of the control requirements, including and in addition to ICFR, GDPR and PCI standards.
Your experience:
1. Financial qualification (accountancy or equivalent) or proven management experience in the OTC & PRA process.
2. Extensive business interaction with various finance and line departments.
3. Track record of finance change management, BPO management.
4. Effective people management.
5. Accounts receivables, debt/revenue collection, financial accounting.
