We are seeking to appointment a Family Contact Worker within our Intervention Hub who is passionate, dedicated, creative and resilient to join our team to support our care experienced children and young people and their families in providing high quality, child led family time. You will need to have excellent observation and recording skills and be able to offer child centred support and guidance with a whole family focus during the time our children spend with their families. We are looking for someone who can promote quality and stimulated Family Time, ensuring the safety and welfare of every child, and provide accurate and relevant written and verbal information to contribute to the ongoing care plans for care experienced children and young people. You need to have the ability to use a strength-based approach when working with parents and carers to identify what is working well and how their strengths can affect positive change for our care experienced children and young people. This requires an understanding of the need to work sensitively with families to identify and understand the impact of adversity and trauma in their lives and adapt your response with care and compassion. You need to have the ability to establish and sustain effective and positive professional working relationships with children, their families and other professionals that support the facilitation of high quality, child led Family Time. The Intervention Hub work in a trauma informed way using our innovative multi agency partnership model ‘Our Way of Working’. The role is based in Ellesmere Port, however, there will be a requirement to work within the community and across other venues within the Cheshire West and Chester locality. As a Family Contact Worker you will: -Hold a BTEC National/NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Child Care or equivalent level of experience in a relevant discipline and have knowledge of child development and previous experience of working with children, young people and families. -Receive high quality supervision with your own personal development plan to support your career and learning aspirations. -A working environment where you will be supported to adopt an evidenced based approach to practice.
