Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier of electromechanical products and services.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, maintenance, and installations for compressed air equipment at customer sites across the South West - Gloucester, Swindon, Bristol, and surrounding areas. Full product training provided.
Role Responsibilities
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Installation Engineer will:
1. Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites across the South West.
2. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air products.
3. Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
4. Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
5. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
6. Regularly commute to the office near Cheltenham for parts collection.
7. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical and/or mechanical engineering systems.
2. Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Compressor Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Pipework Engineer, or similar.
3. FGas certification is highly advantageous.
4. Field Service background in engineering with demonstrable fault finding skills in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, or similar products.
5. Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
6. Willingness to travel the South West - Gloucester, Swindon, Bristol, and the surrounding areas is required.
7. Commutable to Cheltenham for part collections regularly.
