About the role
Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hanningfield Laboratory as an Environmental Laboratory Analyst, working with your colleagues to provide essential analytical services to ensure a quality water supply for our customers, communities, and the environment.
Daily activities include carrying out analysis of samples for validation and method development projects, processing, and documentation within agreed timescales.
You’ll also carry out non-analytical duties in sample reception using our integrated LIMS system, receiving, and logging in samples, as well as receipt and dispatch of sample containers to our client.
You will maintain health and safety standards and provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
You will be supported with full training provided for all areas within the laboratory.
About you
If you are a great team player with good organizational skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and self-motivation, we want to hear from you.
You can understand and follow health and safety instructions, written analytical methods and technical instructions and procedures.
You’ll have experience of working in a quality-controlled environment such as GMP/GLP and can demonstrate competency in all basic laboratory techniques.
It would be great if you have experience using complex instrumentation, (e.g. chromatographic techniques) and experience of validation and method development. If you understand ISO 17025, ISO9001, ISO14001, MCERTs and DWTS this is great, but not essential.
This has been defined as a Safety or Security Critical Role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test, prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
