Experienced Agricultural Fitter

Location of the Job:
Norfolk, East of England.
Salary and Benefits Package:
* Paying circa £40,000 per year, depending on experience.
* Company vehicle.
* On-site parking.
* Company pension scheme.
* 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
* Christmas shutdown.
Additional information:
* This is a permanent full-time position.
* Working hours are: Monday to Friday 7am -5.30pm.
* Saturday 7am - 12pm every other week.
* Saturday afternoons, Sundays and evening work may be required, to keep up with work load or breakdowns.

The Job Role Details:
Join the team as an Experienced Agricultural Fitter, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our extensive range of vegetable and arable machinery operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

You will
* Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and servicing of machinery, adhering to high standards of safety and efficiency.
* Respond to in-field breakdowns, minimising downtime for farm operations.
* Implement and oversee a robust 3-monthly Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for all assets.
* Manage reactive maintenance tasks with speed, safety, and cost-effectiveness in mind.
* Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records to ensure compliance and continuity.
* Promote a safe and tidy work environment, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to Health and Safety standards.
* Collaborate effectively within the workshop team while taking initiative when needed.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be
* Proven experience in servicing and maintaining agricultural machinery or similar equipment.
* Strong general maintenance skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A clean and valid driving licence.
* Hydraulics experience.
* Welding and fabrication skills.
* Training or certification in abrasive wheels.
* Electrical experience or qualifications.
* A formal mechanical engineering qualification.
