We are assisting a well-established, full-service firm based in the Midlands who are looking for a Risk and Compliance Assistant to join the team in their Newark office. The role is extremely varied and is a great opportunity to get involved in a range of risk and compliance work. This would be ideal for somebody with administration experience who is highly organised.
Responsibilities include:
o Handling general compliance administration and related tasks.
o Assisting with file opening procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
o Conducting AML E-ID checks to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, monitoring outstanding ID, and coordinating with Fee Earners to improve compliance.
o Managing and maintaining accurate inbox records.
o Recording breaches and complaints, maintaining detailed logs with supporting evidence.
What we need from you:
o Relevant experience in legal or financial services.
o IT proficient with experience using online systems and Microsoft packages.
o Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
o Confident and credible with excellent analytical, written, numeracy, and communication skills.
o Ability to use online AML systems effectively.
