This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a unique pilot team taking NSFT Recovery College on to the next stage of its development.
The Practitioner Tutor role will support the Senior Practitioner tutor (project lead) and Peer tutor and learning support advisers in the development and delivery of the Recovery College's psycho educational package of support for ASD and ADHD, including webinars, courses, and workshops to all stakeholders in Suffolk.
Recovery College provides educational courses and workshops, with a focus on personal recovery to anyone in Norfolk and Suffolk over the age of 16 who are experiencing mental health challenges. The courses and workshops are designed to support people to learn skills and strategies to empower them on their recovery journey. All our courses are co-produced and co-delivered by people with lived and learnt experience of mental health difficulties.
Main duties of the job
1. Support with the development, implementation and evaluation of ASD and ADHD psycho educational and recovery focused curriculum.
2. To co-tutor in Recovery College for a minimum of 20 hours a week using specialised clinical knowledge.
3. To co-produce new courses for delivery in the Recovery College.
4. To participate in the Quality Assurance Process of course creation and delivery.
5. To co-deliver courses to external organisations as required.
6. To carry out enrolment sessions as required.

Job responsibilities
* To use strong facilitation skills and relationship building to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students.
* To support the Recovery College Manager and team in delivering the College core business with a focus on principles of recovery, social inclusion and developing opportunities for life beyond illness.
* The post holder is expected to teach for 20 hours a week with a mixture of online facilitating and classroom-based facilitating.
* To develop and review of courses including chairing and participating in quality assurance panels to assess suitability of new courses being added to the timetable.
* To ensure The Recovery College provides a high quality, evidence-based service that is focused on Personal Recovery and the principles that underpin it in line with the Recovery College Operational Policy.
* To have learned experience of a broad range of the Recovery College timetable topics and be able to evidence knowledge of practice in facilitation of the courses. Specifically, courses based on a wide range of mental health conditions and therapy-based courses.
* The post holder will use their clinical experience, skills and knowledge within a healthcare setting to complement the personal recovery narratives, skills, experience and knowledge offered by peer tutors.

* A health or social care degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
Desirable
* Teaching qualification e.g., City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training or PTTLLS or relevant teaching/training experience.
* Experience of coaching, supervision or mentoring.
* Experience of public speaking and presenting.

* Experience of supporting people who experience Mental health challenges.
* Experience of working within mental health services and using a broad range of strategies and knowledge to support people in their recovery.
