Salary: £23,550–£25,362 per annum (pro-rata, based on 90.58% of full-time hours)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 47.1 weeks per year (term-time: 34 weeks, non-term-time: 8 weeks, paid holiday: 5.1 weeks)

Role Overview:
A prestigious private school in Cambridge is seeking a skilled and adaptable School Office Administrator to join its Operations team. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and administrative abilities. The Office Administrator will provide essential support across various departments, ensuring the smooth functioning of the school’s operations.
This is a dynamic role suited to someone who can balance multiple responsibilities, including data entry, scheduling, communication with parents and staff, and administrative support for events and projects. The successful candidate will occasionally provide reception cover when needed
Key Responsibilities:
Information Systems:
Assist in maintaining school information systems, including academic progress tracking, termly reporting cycles, and user account administration.
Manage the school website portal by publishing notices, scheduling reminders, and updating policies and documents.
Website Administration:
Monitor the calendar of events to manage communications with parents.
Administer the school’s document management system and mail merge official school emails.
After-School Activities:
Support co-curricular club sign-ups and membership updates.
Audit termly charges for clubs and assist with maintaining minibus transport lists.
Scheduling and Logistics:
Assist with event planning, reply form tracking, and other logistical tasks.
Admissions:
Provide support for data entry, data validation, and setup for tours and open mornings.
HR Support:
Assist with recruitment checks, training logs, reference requests, and maintaining HR records.
General Administration:
Tasks include managing pupil lockers, producing timetables, and other ad-hoc duties to support school operations.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum GCSE passes in English and Maths.
Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in an education setting.
Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases (or a willingness to learn).
Attention to detail, accuracy, and high numeracy and literacy skills.
A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work.
Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable demeanor.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and staff.
