Band 5 Cluster Lead Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacotherapy
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the Pharmacotherapy Team within NHS Borders. Working with Primary Care Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, GPs, and other Health and Social Care Professionals, this job provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to impact the delivery of the GMS contract within GP Practices. This opportunity will be based in the Pharmacy Hub at Newtown St Boswells.
The role includes both clinical and leadership responsibilities within the team, line managing staff in an assigned cluster to develop and implement directions from the Lead Pharmacotherapy Pharmacy Technician.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills and demonstrate strong leadership abilities. You must be able to manage your own workload and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of the pharmacotherapy service. There is a commitment to continuing professional development.
The working hours for the post will be Monday to Friday over 37 hours.

NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the new hours immediately, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you will be paid until your service area changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
