Aerospace Project Manager - Weapons Carriage & Release - Contract Opportunity
With ongoing growth in current and future platform developments within the Weapons Carriage & Release sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Project Manager. Reporting to the IPT Programme Manager, this role will involve working with customers and stakeholders to manage and deliver projects across development, production, and aftermarket phases for complex aerospace subsystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of production, in-service, and improvement projects related to aerospace products used on multiple aircraft platforms.
Use best practice project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget for a defined scope.
Serve as the primary project management point of contact for at least one of the IPT's major customers.
Provide regular internal and customer reporting, interpreting and presenting data from both standard operational sources and project-specific information.
Collaborate closely with production delivery managers, programme managers, and other stakeholders to identify and manage risks that could impact customer production delivery over the medium term (6-24 months).
Support the production SIOP process for capacity planning over a 2-year horizon.
Facilitate the resolution of escalated issues from operations, customer accounts, and procurement stakeholders through the planning and execution of new projects or work packages.
Identify and support opportunities for improving customer service and experience, including working with bid managers to explore additional funding opportunities.
Work alongside programme and engineering managers to efficiently structure individual projects or work packages, considering shared dependencies and synergies.
Own costed and resource-loaded project schedules, working with PMO planners to maintain realistic timelines that align with overall programme objectives.
Apply Eaton's project governance processes, including lifecycle gate reviews and supporting technical design reviews from a project management perspective.

Proven experience in managing multiple projects with similar functions and technologies, demonstrating a successful delivery track record.
Ability to mentor junior project managers, enhancing their efficiency and performance.
Commercially astute with a strong understanding of contract management.
Track record of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
In-depth knowledge of the functional disciplines and supply chains involved in project management.
Strong leadership and communication skills, providing clear direction and motivation to teams.
Exceptional priority and workload management, balancing individual and team goals.
Effective problem-solving abilities, handling ambiguities, uncertainties, and conflicts with ease.
Proficient knowledge of project finance management.
Skilled in risk management, with the ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue and margin.

Expertise in project performance management using KPIs and metrics.

Basic Qualifications:
Qualified to lead large, complex projects within a production environment.
A degree, plus ideally 5+ years of project management experience.
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) techniques.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Project.
