Fed up with being on the road all day? Here's a rare opportunity to work for a leading critical cooling manufacturer maintaining high-tech equipment at a single prestigious data centre location near Canary Wharf.
Perfect for engineers seeking stability without sacrificing technical challenge.
What's in it for you?
Salary around £45k to £50k (with some flexibility for the right candidate).
Monday to Friday working hours (8:30-17:00).
Optional company van available (comes with on-call responsibilities, or no van means no on-call).
Working for a manufacturer, so you’ll get all the training and support that comes with it
Pension scheme with 8% employer contribution.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Company phone, laptop and tablet.
High-quality equipment and workwear provided.
And perhaps most importantly – a static location that means you can actually plan your life outside of work.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for maintaining CRAC units at a data centre on the Isle of Dogs, just minutes from South Quay DLR station. You'll work with hybrid cooling and water cooled DX systems as well as adiabatic dry air coolers – full training will be provided.
All critical spares are kept on site, and you'll have support from the mobile engineering team when needed. You'll collaborate with the data centre's FM engineers and other contractors to ensure optimal system performance in this mission-critical environment.
What you'll need
Experience servicing and maintaining precision cooling systems, particularly CRAC units and chiller systems.
Knowledge of controls, electrical testing, and advanced fault finding.
Practical experience with chilled water and DX systems.
F-Gas certification is essential.
Full UK driving licence.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a wider team.
Experience in data-centre cooling environments would be advantageous but not essential.
