This is a great opportunity for a focused Buyer to join the Commercial team in their London head office function (Hybrid Working available) As a Buyer within the Impulse team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the range strategy to maximise the budgeted financial business targets ensuring the right products are purchased at the correct prices and within the relevant time frames. Responsible for maximising the delivery of the Sales / Margin & Stock turn of your category range to deliver a market beating product and seasonal proposition. Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices to improve margins Ensuring selected product lines achieve availability timeframes Presenting product range & trend information to the Senior Management team Monitoring & reviewing competitor information to ensure your product area stays relevant in a changing market Managing your category budget Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines Key requirements for the role. Proven previous experience as a Buyer within a retail environment is essential (preferably a chilled food category / however would consider a background from FMCG) Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing seasonal retail market.
