This appointment provides clinical services principally at Maidstone Hospital and the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury with a commitment to operate at Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead approximately 4 times a year. The appointee will not be expected to take part in the acute General Surgical on call rota but will take part in the Breast on call rota. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of Surgeons, Oncologists, Histopathologists, Radiologists, a team of skilled radiographers, specialised nurses and mammographers, as part of the breast team at MTW. The appointee will work closely with breast consultants, advanced nurse practitioners and cancer nurse specialists to deliver high quality outpatient services. There is a weekly MDT for screen-detected and symptomatic breast cancers, post-op results, metastatic patients and patients with a known breast cancer diagnosis undergoing additional imaging. Clinical commitments will include provision of new patient assessment clinics, one stops, results clinics (symptomatic, screening, post op), follow up clinics, MDT and theatre.
