Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and enthusiastic Principal Practitioner Clinical Psychologist to join EPUT’s expanding psychological services for parents and their infants.
We are pleased to offer a one year Secondment 0.2wte 8b post in EPUT Essex Perinatal Mental Health Service (PMHS). The service delivers high quality support and intervention to mothers, their infants and their families. PMHS consists of five perinatal hubs with a staff mix comprising of Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, OT and Nursery Nursing.
This post is available in the North West Locality (Loughton, Harlow and Stansted). Other North localities can be considered as location should not be a barrier to applying.
Main Duties of the Job
The main duties of the role will be to offer senior clinical leadership to the perinatal service, support delivery through the supervision of staff, and offer consultation. There will be an expectation for the postholder to hold a limited number of assessment cases.

Job description and job specification are available. It is important to note the job description gives the overall level and expectation of duties a senior clinical lead such as a Principal Practitioner Psychologist would be expected to fulfil. It is not, however, the expectation that all these duties will be completed as this is a 0.2wte role.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC registered and has post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the BPS.
* Additional training in trauma therapy approaches such as Trauma focused CBT or EMDR.
Experience
* Significant experience of working in the NHS.
* Experience of working across health care systems, such as primary care and secondary care mental health services.
Knowledge and Skills
* Significant experience of supervising qualified psychology staff.
* Solid experience of consultation.
