SEND Teaching Assistant (ASD & SEMH) – Bury (BL9) – Immediate Start with Potential for Permanent Role

Role Details:
1. Location: Bury (BL9)
2. Start Date: ASAP
3. Pay Rate: £89 - £100 per day
4. Job Type: Full-time, with the potential for a permanent role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD and SEMH, helping them to engage and succeed in their learning.
2. Assisting with the development and implementation of individualised learning plans to support each student's unique needs.
3. Applying behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to encourage positive behaviour.
4. Supporting students’ social and emotional development, promoting independence, confidence, and well-being.
5. Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure effective, tailored support for each student.
6. Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all students feel supported.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, or other SEND needs (preferred but not essential).
2. A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and how to implement them effectively.
3. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach when working with children with additional needs.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
5. A genuine passion for supporting students with SEND and helping them achieve their full potential.
