We are searching for a Property Advisory specialist with PMO development and programme management experience to join our Asset Strategy team in Nottingham. Our Asset Strategy team specialise in providing expert advice to a variety of local and national organisations in relation to their real estate assets. Largely working with public sector organisations, the team is responsible not only for providing guidance and professional consultancy, but also managing the delivery of strategic real estate programmes on behalf of our clients.
As Senior Consultant, you will work collaboratively with the existing team ensure we continue to deliver best in class services by taking lead on the management of large scale real estate focused programmes and complex projects. You will work on a hybrid basis, working 2-3 days per week from our Nottingham office, which boasts a central location (2 minutes by foot from Nottingham Central Station) and high spec fit-out with excellent facilities.
To be successful in your role you will ideally have experience both setting up PMOs, and delivering programmes to completion. Prior experience working with public sector clients or as part of a public sector body is a bonus. Additionally, experience developing and managing real estate development or workplace transformation programmes would be beneficial.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Partner with the existing team to deliver a top class PMO function.
2. Responsible for the management of large scale, complex real estate projects or programmes as part of a PMO / portfolio within the public sector. Opportunities may also arise in the private sector.
3. Implementation of recognized project and programme management methodologies, processes, and procedures.
4. Ensuring appropriate governance and assurance processes are established, monitoring, and reporting of progress, risks, and issues.
5. Build effective relationships with stakeholders and external parties to ensure dependencies are effectively managed.
6. Establish change control procedures and monitor adherence.
7. Track progress against agreed delivery milestones to ensure alignment with agreed strategy / plan.
8. Capture lessons learnt as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
9. Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
10. Positively engaging with clients and developing, growing and maintaining client relationships.
11. Delivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our client’s requirements.
12. Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures.
13. Producing and presenting to clients.
14. Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the business unit activities.
15. Managing service delivery for profit.
About You
What we are looking for in our next Senior PMO Consultant
16. Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification.
17. Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
18. Strong proven foundation in robust governance, quality assurance and benefits realisation.
19. Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
20. Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
21. Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
22. Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
23. Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
24. Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
25. Ability to work as part of a hard-working and ambitious team.
Qualifications
MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) qualification would be beneficial, although any other project / programme management, real estate or construction qualifications are of interest.
