Job responsibilities As a Pharmacy Technician in primary care, you will help patients get the best from their medicines. Effective medicines reconciliation upon transfer of care is an important part of the role, as well as offering support for patients whose medication may be in short supply, optimising the use of lipid-lowering therapy following well-defined protocols, carrying out regular audits of pre-defined prescribing safety measures and supporting non-clinical staff to improve the safety and efficiency of prescribing processes. You must be motivated to work well independently and as part of a team, and recognise your limitations. Good attention to detail is essential and you must be able to effectively prioritise your workload and adapt to any work pressures and the needs of the practice. See overview and person specification for further details.
