We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team based on the A417 Missing Link Road in Gloucester to assist with the Commercial function in the Structures and Earthworks Teams. You must be flexible in hours of work and travel.

Location: Gloucester - some remote working available, with travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent Fulltime
Salary: £39,500 - £50,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits
Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety on a range of contracts.
Your day to day will include:
* Manage the commercial resources (finance) of the assigned project (or section) to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
* Support the authorisation and submission of project variations
* Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great if you have:
* Holds the relevant qualifications
* Experience within a similar role in the Construction/Highways Industry
* Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
