Prestolee Multi Academy Trust is seeking a proactive and professional Finance Administrator to join our dedicated central team based at Mesne Lea Primary School in Salford. This role presents an exciting opportunity to support the Trust in delivering high-quality administration within our finance function.

We are a thriving and ambitious Trust, comprising eight diverse primary schools across four local authorities in Greater Manchester, with a ninth school set to join us in 2025. This period of growth and expansion presents an exciting opportunity to join our central service team and play a vital role in supporting our schools.
Our central team provides essential services in finance, HR, governance and compliance, and estate management to our Trust schools. As a Finance Administrator, you will play an integral role in supporting our School Business Managers with the day-to-day administration of their finance functions.
This role is initially offered on a fixed-term basis until December 2025 as maternity leave cover. However, for the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent.
The Role
As a Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial data-entry at Trust level. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the end to end management of the accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
* Being the main point of contact for finance queries, both internal and external.
* Managing and maintaining the Trust finance inbox.
* Assisting in the processing of invoices, daily banking, and supplier management.
* Supporting the Finance Manager with any ad-hoc tasks.
* Providing schools with additional administrative support when needed.
* Process, check and obtain approval for staff expense claims.
* Assisting with other administrative tasks to support the governance, HR and compliance functions where required.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT capabilities, including experience of using Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in administrative roles, preferably in or supporting primary schools.
* Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure.
* Skills in data analysis and attention to detail.
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding policies.
