VANRATH have partnered exclusively with our client in their search for a proactive, hands-on IT Support Technician with 2+ years' experience to support their IT infrastructure and ensure seamless daily operations. This role involves working closely with the IT Manager, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting staff, and maintaining system security and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
* Manage help desk requests, providing efficient technical support to employees.
* Assist staff with system setup, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network faults.
* Conduct regular system health checks and address security or usability concerns.
* Monitor and deploy system patches, updates, and security fixes to maintain a secure IT environment.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar IT support role.
* Proficiency with Active Directory/Entra, Office 365, and Windows Servers .
* Hands-on experience in patch management and antivirus updates .
Desirable Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
* Solid understanding of networking principles.
