Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global manufacturer based in NW Manchester.
The successful candidates will be required to work as part of the Manufacturing Engineering team to be involved in process improvement on site by improving and modifying manufacturing methods.
Interested candidates must be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly based environment. Experience in assembly of Pumps/Valves/Gearboxes would be highly advantageous.
As part of this role, candidates will be provided with additional qualifications - level 6 in Manufacturing Engineering (paid for by the business).
Hours - Monday - Friday 7AM-3PM
Package also includes a 9% matched pension + private health.

The Role
1. Support the development of manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment and liaising with equipment suppliers.
2. Identify and purchase equipment, materials, or parts and provide input into Capex submissions.
3. Support time analysis of routings.
4. Support improvements on manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout.
5. Assist with the Manufacturing Engineer and facilities with the upkeep of maintenance and repairs.
6. Identify faults, investigate production problems and repair equipment quickly and efficiently.
7. Produce manufacturing documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures and Risk assessments to aid the safe, consistent and compliant processes.
8. Provide technical expertise, support or training relating to manufacturing.
9. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and business improvements in business area as well as taking an active role in Perfect Execution activities as required.
10. Whilst undertaking duties, ensure that all Company policy and procedures are adhered to (including HSE and Quality).
Qualifications/Skills
1. Time served within a mechanical engineering capacity - ideally HNC qualified.
2. Driven to move into manufacturing/production engineering.
3. Attention to detail and pride in quality of work.
4. Demonstrable experience in assembly - Valve/Pump/Gearbox assembly is highly desirable.
