An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Welfare Officer to join our Student Experience and Wellbeing team, reporting to our Safeguarding and Welfare Manager, and working alongside the Resilience Champion, Tutorial and Enrichment Team, Advanced Safeguarding Practitioner, and the wider team.
As a Welfare Officer with Redcar and Cleveland College, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of successful on-site events which promote resilience, spiritual, moral, cultural, and social development. You will act as the primary support for students and the wider safeguarding team.
The ideal candidate will be organized, empathetic, and approachable, with good listening skills and the ability to work to high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as a willingness to learn and develop.
This role is a primary point of contact for students regarding their welfare and is an integral part of the college safeguarding team. Experience of working in an education or youth service setting is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
