A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wedding & Events Assistant. The right person will be well presented, highly motivated and positive with a passion for customer service and hospitality whilst also possessing excellent administration skills.
The Role
Our Weddings & Events Assistant will be responsible for:
* Assisting the Weddings & Events coordinator.
* Assisting planning meetings and events to ensure the smooth running of all administrative aspects of these roles.
* Liaising with all departments – kitchen, housekeeping, front and back of house to ensure plans are communicated effectively.
* Assisting the coordinators on event days.
* Maintaining excellent standards of service and venue preparation.
* Organisational skills and attention to detail are key to this role.
* Providing guests with venue tours and assisting the events coordinator.
* Bringing new ideas and market trends to the table.
* Updating the event schedule and function sheet, ensuring all details are listed and specific requirements handed over to the relevant departments.
* Taking bookings & uploading them onto Rezlynx.
* Taking phone calls and emails.
As a Wedding & Events Assistant you will need to be passionate about people. An excellent and confident communicator by telephone; email and face to face; providing a warm and professional service to all our couples and clients.
Previous experience in a similar position is desirable and the ability to work well individually but also as part of a close team is essential.
This role involves evening and weekend work and is the type of role where you may have to work outside your scheduled hours.
