English Teacher – SEND School – Bexley – September Start
Salary: £34,514 - £51,179 per year (MPS/UPS plus SEN Point 1)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at our exceptional school for students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We are seeking an experienced English Teacher that can deliver engaging English lessons to our KS3 students.
Our students are unable to attend mainstream settings due to their needs, and as a result, we work closely with a range of support agencies and other schools to ensure our students receive the best possible education and support for their own personal growth and development.
The role – English Teacher:
1. English Teacher with QTS and UK Teaching experience.
2. Delivering excellent teaching in English to students with SEMH needs.
3. Developing an inspiring and relevant curriculum at KS3.
4. Focusing on pupils' achievement using data and benchmarking to monitor progress for every child and address any gaps in learning.
5. Acting as a role model and mentor to support the development of our students' social, emotional and mental health in addition to academic achievement.
6. Working effectively with parents and building effective relationships with the community, other schools, and agencies.
The person – English Teacher:
1. Qualified teacher status at secondary school level.
2. A clear philosophy for the education of young people.
3. Strength of subject knowledge and expertise to develop an excellent curriculum at KS3 for English.
4. Experience of supporting students with SEMH needs.
5. Ability to communicate well and explain ideas clearly.
