Cavan) JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Sales Manager with a strong background in instrumentation, calibration, and service within the Life Science sector. The ideal candidate will possess a solid engineering background in calibration and instrumentation and will already be operating in a similar sales role within this industry. They will be expected to leverage their existing network of contacts, drive revenue growth, and effectively "hit the ground running" in expanding our market presence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Leadership: Lead the sales strategy for the calibration and service offerings in the Life Science sector, ensuring the growth of revenue streams and achievement of sales targets. Business Development: Develop and nurture key relationships with clients and prospects, utilising your established network of contacts in the Life Science and instrumentation industries to generate new business opportunities. Account Management: Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction and service delivery, and identifying opportunities for further business. Revenue Growth: Focus on meeting or exceeding sales revenue targets, including generating leads, closing deals, and driving sales from both new and existing clients. Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical understanding of calibration and instrumentation services, guiding clients on suitable solutions, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with external and internal sales teams along with delivery teams to ensure the seamless calibration and instrumentation services to clients, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently. Reporting & Forecasting: Track sales performance, provide regular updates on sales metrics, and forecast potential revenue growth accurately to senior leadership. Salesforce software experience would be beneficial. QUALIFICATIONS: Educational Background: Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Calibration Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development in the Life Science sector, with a focus on calibration and instrumentation services. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving sales, managing accounts, and achieving revenue targets in a similar capacity and industry. Technical Knowledge: Strong engineering background with expertise in instrumentation, calibration techniques, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to clients. Established Network: Existing network of contacts in the Life Science and instrumentation industries, with the ability to leverage these relationships for business development. Sales Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a strong ability to close opportunities. Results-Oriented: Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve and exceed sales objectives. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements within the Life Science industry, specifically related to calibration and instrumentation services & customer needs.
