Salary: £29,041 - £32,437 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Pastoral Support Team as a Pastoral Support Officer on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the role is to ensure effective safeguarding of our pupils, including attendance monitoring and management.
The role includes compiling and reviewing data reports, reviewing written reports, and providing advice and guidance on safeguarding issues. You will manage a caseload of pupils, ensuring they are supported with appropriate interventions, including referrals to Social Care and accessing support for families.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified to at least Level 4 in a relevant subject – e.g. Teaching, Social Care, Youth Work, Careers Guidance (desirable)
* Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent
* Experience of working with young people in a similar environment
* Experience of working with vulnerable / 'at risk' young people
* Experience of working with internal / external agencies
* Good ICT knowledge and skills
* Full driving license and own car

Manchester Secondary PRU is an established Pupil Referral Unit which supports young people with complex needs by:
1. Leading a creative and high quality curriculum;
2. Promoting inclusion for some of Manchester’s most vulnerable young people;
3. Developing a nurturing and safe environment for all pupils across a number of settings.
We work closely with a range of external agencies to promote the Manchester Inclusion Strategy, a city-wide initiative to ensure that the most vulnerable young people in Manchester receive the education that they deserve.
