I am working with a finance specialist based in Blackburn, Lancashire, who have been established for over 30 years. This business offers a range of financial services and caters to a range of organisations across the UK. Due to an internal promotion, they are now seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis.
Your new role
In your new role as Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for keying payments onto their bespoke system, posting cash, handling debit and credit card payments, and allocating cash. You will also perform bank reconciliations, conduct bank analysis, manage direct debit runs, and run and post VAT invoices. Additionally, you will provide cover for purchase ledger, expenses, and credit card tasks, along with other ad hoc finance duties as required. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, experience of working in a transactional accounting role previously is essential, with a good understanding of ledgers. You will have performed bank reconciliations previously and must be comfortable with a high volume of invoicing.
