BIM Layout & Integration Engineer - £29/hr (Inside IR35) - Coventry (hybrid potential) - 6 Months (potential to roll)

Position Description:
It is an incredibly exciting time to be a part of Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering division (PTME), given the transformation that is taking place to facilitate electrified production for the future. The PTME team are responsible for delivering all Powertrain projects for in house Brands globally including Engines, Electric Drive Units, and Batteries and the facilities that these production lines are situated in.
Role:
1. Working within Powertrain Manufacturing and supporting project teams on complex multi-disciplinary industrial installation projects.
2. Work closely with engineering, facilities, and construction teams to ensure total facility design is effectively developed to required level of detail.
3. Support site installation teams during build/installation phase.
4. Lead the development of the master layout from concept design through to detailed planning, communicating clearly the requirements of the process/facility effectively to stakeholders.
5. Design integration lead from proposal through to industrialisation. You will be expected to produce and develop layouts in 2D and 3D form, using 3D modelling tools such as Revit, Inventor, and Navisworks.
6. Responsible for creating concept & feasibility layouts for new manufacturing processes or facilities.
7. Production of schematic and detailed drawings for the purposes of setting out during installations.
8. Undertake Building Information Modelling (BIM) clash detection workstream on assigned projects.
Must have:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Excellent presentation skills.
3. Ability to lead review sessions with broad stakeholder groups.
4. Understanding of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices.
5. Intermediate capability in Navisworks Manage Clash Detection.
6. Intermediate-Advanced Revit modelling capability.
7. Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk AutoCAD.
8. Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities or other equivalent 3D mechanical CAD system.
9. Advanced competency of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
10. Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
11. Proven skills to successfully control and manage workload and the implementation of company and project BIM and CAD standards and drawing document procedures.
12. Understanding and experience of Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
Desirable:
1. Experience working within Automotive Manufacturing.
2. Experience using Autodesk ReCap.
3. Experience using Common Data Environments during a project lifecycle (Autodesk Vault, Sharepoint).
4. Understanding of ISO 19650 and its application.
Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
