Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8am – 4pm
What's the Job About?
Perform daily operational and maintenance tasks at the Kingsbury terminal, providing support for activities across the North Sector. Complete assigned duties efficiently, ensuring all relevant records are updated accurately. Respond promptly to alarms, faults, and breakdowns to restore normal terminal operations as quickly as possible. Take ownership of housekeeping duties, including waste management, weed control, and building maintenance. Assist mechanical and electrical maintenance teams with tasks such as planned maintenance, contractor supervision, and gas testing.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Carry out day to day operational tasks such as road tanker fuel sampling, storage tank water draining, daily safety and environmental checks and fire water pump supervision.
2. Respond to faults, alarms, breakdowns and other issues at the Kingsbury terminal and escalate to maintenance personnel where needed. This includes the UKOP site and surrounding Kingsbury sites (KCU, KJSS and Valero).
3. Complete planned maintenance tasks in accordance with company standards and procedures and sign-off records within the CMMS. This includes coordinating contractors, arranging needed shutdowns and managing spare parts and equipment as required.
4. Complete all work in accordance with BPA safe systems of work including risk assessments, permit to work, isolations and gas testing and supervise colleagues and contractors accordingly.
5. Maintain high housekeeping standards within the terminal ensuring that the site is kept tidy through regular checks, waste disposal, weeding, and overgrowth removal.
6. Assist with training and site familiarisation, including road tanker driver inductions.
7. Record and close plant defects using the Q4 system including remedial works within capability and approved funding.
8. Procure goods and services as directed, following BPA procurement procedures.
9. Prioritise routine tasks, maintenance, housekeeping and defects to meet schedules and maintain high standards.
10. Determine when issues need to be escalated to maintenance personnel.
11. Liaise daily with control room, maintenance team leader and road tanker drivers.
12. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors as required for goods and services.
13. Communicate with all company levels including site colleagues, management and engineers.
What You’ll Need:
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Full valid driving licence.
* Proficient in numerical skills and English both written and oral.
* Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and e-mail.
