Anexciting opportunity has arisen for registered childrens nurse to join thechildrens services team and work within the childrens assessment unit. Ourpurpose-built department opened in March 2021 and this year we have won theprestigious HSJ aware for innovation.
Weare looking to recruit someone who is motivated, hard working and excells in afast paced environment. You will support the lead nurse in deliveringpatient-centred, high-quality care. You will be happy working amongst a MDT andsupporting the childrens emergency department as this post gives thesuccessful candidate the opportunity to work across both areas.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist in the running of the department alongsidethe staff nurse in charge of the childrens assessment
The post holder will work as part of a team of staff and co-ordinate theclinical workload and ensure the effective and efficient use of resourcesduring the shift period. The post holder will co-ordinate the clinical workloadand ensure the effective use of resources through the deployment of staff,monitoring of skill mix and utilisation of clinical competence and experience.
The post holder will ensure the safe custody, administration andeconomical use of drugs and surgical supplies.
The post holder willundertake rotational duties and be expected to adopt a flexible approach toworking practices to meet the needs of the service
