About the Role:
Brett Martin is a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products. Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Planner, who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working within the supply chain.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven junior planner who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow in their planning career. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, highly organised and a clear communicator. The junior planner will support our planning, purchasing and inventory management processes; assist in planning and coordinating production and purchasing activities; and help us to continue to improve and grow.
Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2:30 pm (40 Hours Per Week)
About The Role
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Follow company systems and procedures for stock control and management using Dynamics 365 (ERP/MRP)
* Place and manage Purchase Orders for stock, consumables and special items as required, including liaising with suppliers
* Create and maintain reports on supply performance, inventory levels and planning/purchasing activities - communicating issues to relevant stakeholders
* Monitor production schedules to ensure alignment with order requirements, adjusting as necessary based on supply chain or manufacturing changes
* Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
* Maintain and update planning and purchasing information
* Support the Master Planner to identify and implement improvements throughout the planning, purchasing and inventory management processes
* Any other duties as may reasonably be expected of this role

Desired Criteria
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar) for managing inventory and production/purchasing activities
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business Management
* Two years experience in a planning, purchasing or stock control role
Required Criteria
* Proficiency in Microsoft excel for data analysis, inventory control, and reporting purposes
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting data related to inventory levels, production schedules, and supplier performance
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Previous relevant experience in a planning, purchasing or stock control role
