Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse - Hopkins Ward (Urology Elective & Emergency ward)
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our 21 bedded Hopkins ward for a caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Staff Nurse. We care for elective Urology admissions in a fast-paced environment and pride ourselves in striving for excellence in patient experience, as well as emergency admissions through A&E and our Urology clinic.
Your leadership will contribute to a team mission to deliver person-centered care with kindness and respect, in line with our hospital values.
Main duties of the job
You must be a Registered Nurse with surgical experience. Your development within the new role will be supported by a dedicated mentor and team leader who will ensure you have the support and guidance you require.
An integral part of the role will be to implement change and patient improvement within the ward environment.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work as a skilled practitioner and be responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in your clinical area.
To ensure the smooth running of the ward/department in the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse and provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
