Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our musculoskeletal physiotherapy team. We are looking for a new Band 5 musculoskeletal physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management of patients with a wide range of spinal and peripheral conditions. You will be working in a friendly and thriving outpatients department managing referrals from consultants, GP's and APT's.
The highly experienced team consists of Band 7s with various special interests, Band 6's, a rotational Band 5 and Band 4 and 3 therapy support workers. You will also work closely with the Spinal, Rheumatology, Upper limb, Lower limb, Hand Therapy and Paediatric Advanced Practice Therapists.
You will assist in the clinical delivery of musculoskeletal physiotherapy services in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate. Your caseload will consist of a range of 1:1 assessments and treatments, as well as group gym sessions.
Main duties of the job
Physiotherapists who work in all these services require a range of core skills as follows:
* Assessment, treatment and evaluation of holistic therapy intervention
* The development of integrated care programmes with the patient
* To support in the supervision of Therapy Assistants and Students
* To actively work as a member of the multi-professional team to provide high quality therapy interventions to patients
* Manage a caseload of patients on a daily basis consisting of patients with complex needs associated within a specific speciality
* Actively engage and contribute in regular in service training and CPD training

The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer facing roles.
Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
