Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Omega are currently supporting one of the UK’s largest distributors within the renewable energy market in their search for a Desktop Support Specialist. The right candidate will respond to user queries via email, ticket system, or in-person regarding IT issues, be the first point of contact for IT Support issues and Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, and peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
Key Responsibilities – Desktop Support Specialist
1. Assist users in resolving login, application, SharePoint, or system access / user maintenance issues.
2. Support telephone system (8x8 or similar) and desktop support via remote software
3. Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
4. Replace or repair faulty hardware components.
5. Conduct routine hardware maintenance and upgrades.
6. Ordering equipment and setting up accounts for new users in conjunction with our supplier.
7. Install, update, and maintain software applications.
8. Provide basic training or guidance on using IT systems and tools and support Intune management of devices
