Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the well established Waiting List Support Service in Hywel Dda University Health Board. The post holder will provide clinical therapy leadership and input in the multi-disciplinary single point of contact team for patients awaiting planned care treatment in line with the Welsh Government Promote, Prevent, Prepare policy. The role will work closely with the Optimisation and Prehabilitation service to provide holistic person-centred care based on individual patient needs. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide clinical therapy leadership in the Waiting List Support Serviceservice. This will include working collaboratively with other therapies and planned care specialties to lead a multi-professional approach.They will play a key clinical leadership role in the further development of services by scoping, planning, and evaluating of the service. This will include leading in quality improvement, audit and service evaluation. The post holder will:- Scope, develop, implement and maintain clinical standards in defined area- Plan & deliver skills based training within this specialty area, utilisinga competency based framework for otherstaff in line with national frameworks.- Undertake critical analysis, appraisal and synthesis of currentresearch outcomes and/or relevant literature in order to maintainexpert levels of knowledge and practice within specialty area.
