The Role: As our Data Architect, youll Provide solutions for data orientated projects and supporting the development and management of the Architecture Domain. You will be responsible for covering all data management systems supporting all stages of data, from ingestion through to use and storage. As a Data Architect you will: Support in creation and management of Data specific architectural artefacts, patterns, standards, methodologies and models, aligned with Enterprise Architecture North Star and Roadmap, working collaboratively with data community. Provides advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components. Manages the iteration, review and maintenance of data artefacts and data models. Design of data related solutions which meet the requirements of the initiative for the identified needs for Customers, Colleagues and Organisation. Ensure designs conform to the Architectural Principles and align to the IT North Star and Roadmap. Work closely with other Architects, Product Owners, Technical Leads, Data community and Business Analysts in the gathering and understanding of requirements. Identify, escalate and resolve any proposed deviations from Architecture Principles, IT North Star and Roadmap, to Lead Data Architect and Enterprise Architect. Drive efficiencies through the use and application of standards and frameworks. Provide data design advice and assurance, as required, during delivery phases. Support creation and management of conceptual and logical data models. Collaborate with Data Governance in the delivery of the Data governance policy and framework. What Were Looking For: Strong experience of working as a Data Architect. Experience of working across mixed technology stacks, with an emphasis on Cloud based SaaS Architectures. Strong expertise in creating and maintaining Data Architecture artefacts, patterns, standards, methodologies and models. Able to apply a range of techniques and medium to explain complex problems in ways which can be understood by a range of stakeholders with differing levels of technology and data familiarity. Ability to reason and influence key stakeholders to create optimal outcomes. Ability to communicate and engage with Delivery and Tech Ops colleagues on complex technical issues Appreciation of different Architecture domains and roles. Able to function effectively in a matrix structure, working with different functions across the Organisation. Strong knowledge of Data Fabric, DWH, Data Tooling, across data lifecycle.
