Financial Administrator with expertise in Xero accounting software

Rossendale Golf Club is a well-established golf club located in the heart of Rossendale. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience for our members and visitors, both on and off the course. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Administrator with a financial background to join our team. If you have experience with Xero accounting software and a passion for ensuring smooth operations, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software, including invoicing, reconciliations, and managing accounts payable/receivable.
* Prepare membership billing, make payments, and assist with financial reporting.
* Work closely with and in support of our external accountants.
* Support payroll processing and maintain employee records for both full-time and part-time staff.
* Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure efficient financial transactions and service delivery.
* Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for club operations.
* Manage and update membership databases and records.
* Coordinate internal communication and assist in organising club events and meetings.
* Report to the Board, attend meetings and prepare all necessary paperwork for AGM.
* Chair various inhouse meetings and record minutes.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, H & S issues, club policies, and procedures.
* Ensure all staff contracts are up to date / new legislation, deal with staff disciplinary/ dismissal issues.
* Manage a small team and cover holidays when required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an office administration role, together with financial expertise.
* Strong proficiency in Xero accounting software. Experience with management systems.
* A solid understanding of financial processes, including invoicing, reconciliations, and accounts management.
* Previous experience in payroll processing is desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A friendly and professional approach when interacting with members, staff, and external parties.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
* A proactive and can-do attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
