They are leaders within their field and are entering an exciting phase of scale-up and commercialisation. Due to the natural growth of the business, they are looking for an Laboratory Operations Manager to join their commercial team.
What you'll be doing?
As a Laboratory Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of daily business operations, reporting to the Business Manager. Key responsibilities include overseeing health and safety, facilities management, procurement, and systems administration while supporting broader strategic initiatives. The role involves managing compliance, supplier relationships, and administrative processes such as bookkeeping and expense tracking. Additional duties include implementing digital tools to improve operational efficiency, ensuring facilities are safe and well-maintained, and leading procurement activities to uphold quality and ethical standards.
What they are looking for?
* The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, with a master’s degree being advantageous, and has proven operational management experience, particularly in sustainability, biotech, or tech-driven environments.
* Experience with laboratory and facilities operations is ideal.
* They excel in project management, handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail, and have strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS365, and operational tools is essential, alongside expertise in digital technologies and change programs.
* They possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and health and safety management skills, as well as bookkeeping and financial reporting experience.
* The candidate is adaptable, professional, and collaborative, with a commitment to confidentiality and experience in supporting senior managers or overseeing operations.
