As a Finance Apprentice at Panache Cruises, you will work closely with the Finance Director and Management Accountant to support various financial tasks and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial record, whilst studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Accounts payable, including processing invoices, allocating payments & arranging weekly BACS.
* Accounts receivable, including raising sales invoices, credit control & receipting payments.
* Bank reconciliation to ensure accurate representation of cash transactions.
* Main accurate financial records by entering data into the accounting & CRM system.
* Assist in the preparation of the financial reports, including monthly & year end accounts.
* Generate ad-hoc financial reports as required by management.
* Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial data.
* Collaborate with other areas of the business on financial reports/ KPIs.

* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Your training plan
The first year you will complete AAT Level 2 or 3. Once complete and if successful, the opportunity to continue onto level 4 will be provided.
Depending on location, the course will either be at a local college on day release or virtually.
