Job Description
What will you be doing?
1. To build and develop trusted relationships with current and potential clients.
2. To be responsible for delivering financial planning and wealth management advice.
3. To work within the context of an agreed business plan.
4. All advice given to clients must be suitable, tailored and personalised to the client and in line with advice and control policies.
5. Some of your responsibilities will be to:
1. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
2. Monitor team performance; mentor, manage and support staff.
3. Lead the team.
4. Execute the annual Business Plan in line with agreed individual targets.
5. Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimise attrition.
6. Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information and advice provided is up to date, technically accurate and meets clients’ needs.
7. Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives, while understanding and considering the impact of factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency for individual clients.
8. Ensure client reviews are undertaken at least annually in line with clients’ changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements.
9. Work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to develop client relationships.
10. Maintain the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensure all values and dates are up to date.
11. Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times and in line with Group policy.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
1. Hold a level 6 qualification in CII Financial Planning or equivalent aspiring for Level 7.
2. Previous experience within a Financial Planning / Advisory role to HNW private clients.
3. Experience of people management as a Team Leader / Manager.
4. Experience of managing staff workload; providing mentoring and support.
5. Performance management.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Relationship Management skills.
Qualifications
