LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT- PASTORAL SUPPORT
Start Date: Sept 2024
hours per week / 39 weeks per year
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative practitioner to work as a Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will support the development of young people, with a wide range of learning difficulties, ranging from moderate to severe/profound and complex, including SEMH and ASC.
Within the role you will work with the school leadership team, taking responsibility for supporting and developing the skills of pastoral team members and developing pastoral capacity across school, working collaboratively with other schools in the Trust. The pastoral support hub offers programmes to students, around emotional and social development, through individual and small group work. Experience of working within a restorative culture and utilising strategies in supporting students with sensory, social and emotional needs and Autism is an advantage. The applicant should have energy for supporting positive behaviour, communication and complex needs, work in a relationship-based and trauma informed way and have a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
