Role: SENCO Teacher

Location: Bootle, Sefton LEA
Our client is a well-respected Primary school in the Sefton area of Bootle. They are keen to appoint a qualified SENCO to lead, develop, and support effective practice for their students with identified barriers to their learning (special educational needs, physical disabilities, EAL) to ensure that their learning needs are addressed effectively. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in a committed team and make a real impact on the outcome of their students.
This role will start in September 2025 and will continue until July 2026.
The school is a large, well-run mainstream school and it is 3 form entry. They offer excellent support with a strong team atmosphere, onsite parking facilities, and access to additional ongoing training. This is a great opportunity with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.
We are looking for an SENCO who is:
* An outstanding teacher, with a range of experience working with children with complex needs.
* A strong leader who is committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils.
* Experienced in rigorous tracking and monitoring of children's progress.
* Experienced in working within the SEND code of practice.
* An excellent communicator, with a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents, governors, and the community.
* Leading the planning and delivery of the National Curriculum.
* Providing professional guidance to all staff in the area of SEN and EAL students to ensure high standards of teaching and effective use of resources that improve the performance of all pupils.
* Coordinating the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN and EAL policy ensuring that details are recorded onto the SEN register of pupils giving cause for concern and that the appropriate actions, in line with the code of practice, are taken.
* Experienced in working with and alongside outside agencies.
