The Council Revenues and Benefits Service is responsible for Billing, Collection and Recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayment & Sundry Debt.
We are looking for enthusiastic and positive individuals to work as part of a team responsible for administration and processing within the Revenues Service.

You should be able to demonstrate a clear customer focus with well-developed customer service skills, balanced with a commitment to effective service delivery.
We are looking to appoint permanently to the following roles:
1. 2 x 37 hour posts on Council Tax Collection Team
Both roles will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the position to be based at Howden House. We currently operate a hybrid working pattern.
For these roles, you will need a range of skills and experience, including:
1. Awareness of Council Tax, Council Tax Support, Council Tax Billing, Discounts/Exemptions, and Collection.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications, including Excel and Word.
3. Ability to acquire and develop a working knowledge of basic Revenues and Benefits rules and procedures.
4. An understanding of customer focus.
5. Ability to communicate using different communication channels.
6. Appreciation of a flexible approach to teamwork.
All successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
