Description | Salary £27,269 - £30,060 Per annum | Full time | Permanent | 37 hours per week | Morecambe International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Operational Supervisor/Trainer Integrated Transport Services (Grade 6) We are currently recruiting… An Operational/Supervisor Trainer (OST) to work within the Integrated Transport Services Team in the North of the County. Based at the Middleton Depot, the OST role will provide leadership and training to our team of dedicated Front Line employees, who, together with our modern Fleet of accessible vehicles, provide transport for the most vulnerable sections of our community and, as such, we expect the highest of standards. You will be one of 2 OSTs within the team and will work shift patterns to cover 0630 - 1830, Monday to Friday What we are looking for… Knowledge and Experience We're looking for someone with a great mix of initiative, knowledge and experience within the transport industry. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of service and the maintenance of a large fleet of specialist vehicles with minimal supervision whilst ensuring all operate in line with our policies and procedures. In addition, you will be capable and confident in delivering high quality training as well as managing and supporting a team of Front-Line staff who deliver this valuable service. This will include arranging staff cover, driving on runs and supporting in the office, as required. Communication We're seeking someone who is an excellent communicator, listener and is able to work independently but also collaboratively within a wider team. You'll enjoy building effective working relationships with other service areas and colleagues, understanding their needs but also being able to communicate difficult messages when needed. You will be confident in delivering a package of driving and Passenger Assistant training modules in an effective and engaging manner.
